I Want To Be A Saint!

I Want To Be A Saint!

St Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, once wrote in his book The Forge:

Tell Our Lord constantly & sincerely that you desire to be a saint & to do apostolate… Then the poor vessel of your soul will not get broken. And should it do so, it will be put together again & acquire an added attractiveness, & it will continue to be of use for your sanctity & the apostolate.

Today on the podcast, Ken, Austin and Anthony look at this quote to discuss our daily struggle to be a saint. We want to be holy, and yet the “poor vessel of our souls” often get broken, despite our best efforts. Thankfully, we have a merciful and patient Savior who eagerly desires to heal us and set us free!

Anthony I can so relate to what you were talking about how sometimes you have the fire in you body to want to bring people to Christ but then you get that dought feeling like who wants to listen to what I have to say! I have learned to just try to show such happiness I have and I hope people say what does she have that makes her be so happy and that will open the door to talk about my journey with Jesus who is steering the wheel of my life and he can be there for you too.
